Koh Samui, Thailand’s second-largest island, is a tropical paradise that has much in store for travelers. Whether it’s your first time to visit, or you’re coming back to explore a different facet of the island, there are limitless ways for you to enjoy your time there. In this article, we’ll show you one of those ways. We’ll limit it to a three-day itinerary, but you can easily use it as a basis for your own. Let’s begin.

Day 1

What better way is there to get to your hotel than to take a private car straight from the airport? It’s incredibly convenient and comfortable, and doing so will help you save valuable time and energy.

Upon reaching your accommodations, you might be feeling a bit exhausted from your journey, so take a few hours to relax and sit by the pool while the kids play outdoors. You can use this time to recharge and gather enough energy for an evening of fun. Once the sun has set, venture out to have a taste of delicious Thai food at a nearby restaurant, then visit a local bar for some music and refreshments.

After the festivities are over, head back to your hotel room and get enough sleep as the next day is going to be packed with activities.

Day 2

Try to set an early alarm so that you can enjoy a hearty breakfast that will get you through day two. If you like, you can also squeeze in a workout at the hotel gym to get your energy levels up. You’re going to need it as this day will be spent mostly outdoors.

If you’ve already scheduled it, you can go on a day trip to the nearby attractions or hop on a short cruise and see the sights. There’s plenty of options in Koh Samui, so even if you weren’t able to book a tour beforehand, you’re guaranteed to have an afternoon of fun and excitement. Just head to the beach or town, and you’ll likely find something that everyone with you can enjoy.

Once everyone is ready to call it a day, head back to your hotel to unwind. You might want to consider eating at the hotel restaurant as your party might still be tired from the day. Then, book a massage at a spa to melt the stress away and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Day 3

On your last day, consider sleeping in for the morning but make sure to sign up for a cooking class. This is a great way to dive into the culture and spend your remaining time on the island. You’ll be able to eat what you made as your lunch so we hope you paid attention to the cooking instructor!

After lunch, head back to your hotel room to pack up your things. Remember to ask for another transfer back to the airport so that you don’t have to deal with the hassle of returning there yourself.
